THE FERVENT COMMUNITY CHURCH

The Fervent Community Church, also known as TFCC is a church that believes in Jesus, a church that loves God and people. The Fervent Community Church is a contemporary Christian church. Overwhelmed by the gift of salvation we have found in Jesus, we have a heart for authentic worship, are passionate about the local church, and are on mission to see God's kingdom established across the earth.

TFCC was founded by Pastor Israel Ahiaba in 2020 in the suburbs of Abuja, Nigeria. As at 2023, the church has an average attendance of 200+ weekly. The Fervent Community Church is an Apostolic Ministry Expression where everyone is spiritually vibrant, alive to God's Presence, mentally transformed by God's word and physically empowered to change their world for JESUS. At the Fervent Community Church, everyone who encounters us encounters God's presence, His love and the refining fire of the Holy Ghost.

Core Beliefs

1. ⁠We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives.
2. We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.
3. We believe that sin separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life.
4. We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the ‘new birth’ we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.
5. We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptized in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues.
6. We believe in the power and significance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly for fellowship, prayer and the ‘breaking of bread’.
7. We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfil our role in the Church and serve the communities where we live.
8. ⁠We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy, wealthy and blessed lives in order to help others more effectively.
9. We believe that we are called to be faithful stewards in honour and worship to God through tithing, offerings and other partnerships in the church (Malachi 3:10, Proverbs 3:9 and Luke 8:3).
10. We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.
11. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.
12. We believe that we are called to be godly representatives in and out of the church community in conduct and relationships (1 Timothy 4:12, Philippians 4:8, 1 Peter 1:15-17, Ephesians 2:10, Matthew 5:16).
